#5 Kristen Bell (Heroes)
Heroes got a real boost when they introduced Kristen Bell’s Elle character in the second season. Elle is a kooky, mentally unstable employee of the show’s ubiquitous The Company organization, and can shoot electricity out of her hands, an ability she uses quite often, oftentimes with glee. Hey, sexy and superpowered is all fine and well, but add a healthy dose of instability to it, and it’s hotsville USA, baby!
#4 Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
SMG in Buffy is the most obvious candidate for the list, and there are many reasons why, but mostly because you just never expect such an innocent, girl-next-door blonde to be going out at nights staking vampires through the chest. I mean, come on, that’s just wrong on so many levels. But SMG pulls it off, and lands at #4 on our list as a result. Now if only she can use her superpowers to resurrect her career…
#3 Jessica Alba (Dark Angel)
James Cameron discovered the pouty Jessica Alba and made her an instant wet fantasy to sci-fi geeks everywhere by making her the star of his first foray into TV, the FOX action-adventure show Dark Angel. Highlights of the show usually involves Alba’s character, Max, a genetically enhanced (i.e. superstrong, superfast, etc) kicking the crap out of some much, much bigger male dude. And oh yeah, the fact that Max spent every episode in very, very tight black leather and showing off a tight midriff didn’t hurt, either.
#2 Ali Larter (Heroes)
Ali Larter toiled away in big-budget movies in bit and supporting roles before finally landing on NBC’s Heroes, which made her a star, leading to a new career in the movies. On the show, Ali Larter plays a Las Vegas Internet stripper who has a doppelganger that shows up whenever she’s in trouble, taking over her body and, usually, killing a whole lot of people. Ali’s Heroes co-star Hayden Panettiere may have all the boys drooling, but for our money, there’s nothing finer than a hot blonde with a killer body who happens to have (literally) a killer hidden inside her.
#1 Laura Vandervoort (Smallville)
Tall, blonde, short-shorts, and a bad attitude. I mean, come on, how could you not love what Canadian actress Laura Vandervoort is doing with Kara, Superman’s Kryptonian cousin, on Smallville? The boots alone would drive us crazy, but they had to go and add a nice rack and flowing blonde hair. If ever Clark Kent wanted to indulge in a little “kissing cousins”, we wouldn’t blame him one bit! Mind you, we’d grimace and make fun of him behind his back, but we wouldn’t necessarily blame him. Supergirl, please rescue me!
Some honorable mentions: Eliza Dushku (Buffy, Angel), Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), Alexa Davalos (Angel), Alysson Hannigan (Buffy), Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman), Amy Acker (Angel).
